Security NewMarkets
International is committed to ensuring Security
in the Software
Our software provides two levels of security. Based upon the level selected, either one or two passwords are required to approve a new bank account or to release payments. In addition, a separation of powers policy is enforced, which takes two distinct users, each with their own password, to create a new user on the system and then grant that user the permission to transact. In other words, to compromise system security would require two people conspiring together. NewMarkets also encrypts all Client passwords, Key Codes and DDA account information. Finally,
a comprehensive audit trail is maintained that records which user
performed each action on the system. These reports establish
responsibility for every action taken with the software. This proves to be
an invaluable resource if a question should ever arise about who has
performed an action with the software. Security
in the Network
Our
network is based on Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and uses 128-bit
encryption to ensure the security of data transmitted. Encryption is the scrambling of information during
transmission between two points, helping to prevent the information from
being intercepted by a third party. NewMarkets uses Verisign SSL
certificates on all of our servers to provide data encryption, server
authentication and message integrity. Security
in the Operations Center
NewMarkets
houses the servers in a secure, internal facility that can only be
accessed by senior personnel and corporate officers. In addition,
NewMarkets maintains redundant hardware and on-site power generators to
ensure that disruptions to one server or one location do not impede our
ability to support our clients. Security
is a Partnership
Good
security requires a partnership. We strongly recommend that you review
your own policies regarding passwords, access to computers, and data
integrity. NewMarkets can discuss the various approaches to security and
how our systems can help you enforce your policies.
